The Discover (Collection Menu) feature in Risify adds a suggestion row to your collection pages. It displays short, clickable items that link to other collections or products you select, so shoppers can jump to related topics, accessories, or alternatives without typing a search query.
Suggestions are defined per collection, meaning each page can guide customers to the most relevant next steps.
Note: Discover (Collection Menu) is managed under the Navigation tab in Risify , alongside the Breadcrumbs and Similar features.

Two Phases of Setup - Collection Menu
The Collection Menu setup in Risify has two phases:
- Phase 1: In Shopify Admin, you will enable Collection Menu and define the items for each collection from the Actions menu. You control which collections appear and in what order.
- Phase 2: In the Theme Editor, you will add the Collection Menu section to your collection template, place it where you want, and style the tiles and text.
If you complete Phase 1 and do not see the menu yet, finish Phase 2 to make it visible on your storefront.
Phase 1: Enable and Define in Admin
In this phase, you attach Discover (Collection Menu) suggestions to your collections.
Step 1: Open the Navigation Tab
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps, open Risify, and click Navigation. Go to the Collections tab. You will see a Discover (Collection Menu) column that shows which collections already have suggestions configured.
Step 2: Add Discover (Collection Menu) Suggestions
Find the collection you want to edit. In the Actions column, click the three-dot menu and select Edit Discover (Collection Menu). In the popup that opens:
- Use the search bar to find the collections or products you want to suggest.
- Select items from the Collections or Products tabs. You can combine both in a single Discover (Collection Menu) section.
- Tick the items you want and click Add.
- Drag and drop to reorder the list so the most useful suggestions appear first.
- Click Save.
Back on the Navigation table, the Discover (Collection Menu) column for that collection will update to show your suggestions.
Tip: You can also use Risify’s AI Generator to create Discover (Collection Menu) suggestions automatically. Click the Generate button in this section to use 1 AI credit per item.
Note: Discover (Collection Menu) can only be added to collections. For product-level navigation, use the Similar feature.
What Happens Next
Your Discover (Collection Menu) suggestions are saved in Risify’s admin. In Phase 2, you will place the section on your storefront and style it to match your theme.
Phase 2: Place and Customize in the Theme Editor
In this phase, you add the Discover (Collection Menu) section to your collection template and style it.
Step 1: Open the Collection Template in the Theme Editor
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, find your theme, and click Customize. Switch to the collection template where you want Discover (Collection Menu) to appear, and navigate to a collection where you configured suggestions in Phase 1.
Step 2: Add the Section and Place It
- In the left sidebar, click Add Section. Switch to the Apps tab and select Related Searches - Risify.
- The section will appear on the page. Drag and drop it to your preferred position. Many stores place it near the bottom of the collection page, but you can position it wherever it fits your layout.
Step 3: Configure Settings
Use the right sidebar to style how Discover (Collection Menu) looks and behaves.
General
- Items Alignment: Aligns the row of suggestion items to Left, Center, or Right.
- Section Width: Screen spans edge to edge. Page keeps it within your theme’s content width. Flex adapts to the container.
Card
- Border Width: Thickness of the outline around each suggestion item.
- Border Radius: Corner roundness of each item pill.
- Shadow: Adds depth behind each item. Choose None, Small, Medium, or Large.
Content and Typography
- Custom Title: Text for the section header, e.g., “Discover more.”
- Header Text Alignment: Align the header Left, Center, or Right.
- Header Font Size, Family, and Weight: Control the look of the section header.
- Header Capitalization: Force Uppercase, Capitalize, or leave as written.
- Item Font Size, Family, and Weight: Control the look of text on each suggestion item.
- Item Capitalization: Apply case styling to item text if needed.
Colors
- Background: Section background color.
- Header Text: Color of the header title.
- Box Style: Choose Outline (border around each item) or Filled (solid background).
- Item Box: Color of the border or fill, depending on Box Style.
- Item Text: Color of text inside each suggestion item.
Spacing
- Space Between Items: Gap between suggestion items in the row.
- Item Horizontal Padding: Left and right padding inside each item.
- Item Vertical Padding: Top and bottom padding inside each item.
Click Save when finished.
